What is kanna?
Kanna is the common name for Sceletium tortuosum, a small succulent native to South Africa. People there have used it traditionally for a very long time, usually by chewing or fermenting the plant. Modern kanna products concentrate the plant’s active compounds (called alkaloids) into an extract that’s easier to measure and more consistent from serving to serving. Lift XR is one of those extracts, sold as a straight powder.
What is mesembrine, and why does it matter?
Mesembrine is the primary alkaloid in kanna, and most people consider it the compound behind the plant’s characteristic feel. Kanna extracts get described by their alkaloid profile, the same way you’d read a cannabinoid profile on a hemp product. In Lift XR, mesembrine makes up 3.6mg of the 4mg total alkaloids per serving, with smaller amounts of mesembrenone and Δ7 mesembrenone rounding it out. Is kanna related to cannabis or hemp?

Suggested Use:
